Sports > Snowboarding
Only one sport has been added to the Arctic Winter Games since 1988,
and that is snowboarding. It originated at the 2002 Games held in Nuuk,
Greenland. Since then, snowboarding has become one of the 20 sports
most seriously considered for the Games when selecting the sport. Because
of the facility in Yellowknife, the snowboarding competition will be
slightly modified from a regular competition with the help from the
Canadian Snowboarding Federation.
