Volleyball was one of the ten sports selected for the inaugural Arctic
Winter Games in 1970, and continues to be a staple in today’s
Games. A unique aspect of volleyball in the 2008 AWG will be its
facility; it will be held in the Yellowknife Community Arena. The ice
will be gone, and sport courts will be brought in for the 5 day tournament.
We are expecting both male and female teams from Alaska, Northern Alberta,
Yukon, Nunavut, NWT and Greenland.
